As the temperatures are starting to rise here in Maine I’m getting excited that Spring may be just around the corner! Having a spring wedding is always a gamble in the northern states as it could be a beautiful 70 degree day or snow could still be on the ground in places. Thankfully Lauren and Ryan had a perfect spring wedding day! The day was right out of a fairytale with flower petals from the blooms on the trees falling down with each breeze. It was the type of white falling stuff that we love…unlike snow.
Lauren and Ryan had their ceremony at The Basilica of St Mary in Minneapolis Minnesota. I love shooting at The Basilica because of it’s European stately look. Lauren and Ryan weren’t just getting married but they were also joining their family together. Lauren’s daughter, Erin, was just as much of the celebration as both the bride and groom were. And it was so sweet to watch Ryan embrace Erin throughout the day and love on her in the sweetest of ways.
They had their cocktail hour and reception over at Calhoun Beach Club. Lauren had a quick hair change to an updo which matched the formal setting of the Beach Club perfectly! Munster Rose did all the floral for the wedding day including the oversized centerpieces of Bells of Ireland. Definitely a way to make a statement without millions of blooms! It was possibly my favorite centerpiece to date! Scroll down to see the magic of Lauren and Ryan’s spring wedding day and see their wedding video by Sky Blue Weddings!
