When David and I were engaged I so badly wanted to get married on The Fourth of July- my absolute favorite holiday. Well, if we did get married on the 4th we would have had to wait a year and also be long distance again for another semester ooooooor we could get married in the winter and be husband and wife 7 months sooner. So I picked winter because I couldn’t wait to marry my high school sweetheart.
When Bob and Karen contacted me about photographing their wedding on the 4th I was so excited. They told me they were going to stick with the patriotic theme of the 4th which made me anticipate their day even more.
Karen and Bob’s wedding was dressed perfectly to make the most of Independence Day. There were large flags, small flags, medium sized flags, and loads and loads of red, white, and blue. But everything was done tastefully and with class- like Bob’s and the groomsmen’s seersucker suits. Karen and Bob’s wedding day was so refreshing in the sense that their wedding day wasn’t about flaunting anything or making sure everything was perfect but rather it was a celebration of love with their closest friends and family!
Congratulations, you two! Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your big 4th of July party!
And a huge thanks to my awesomely talented and insanely sweet second shooter, Mckenzie!
