One of the things I was first excited about when we decided to move to Arizona was that west coast, desert, golden sunlight for engagement photos. So I was thrilled when my good friend and old nanny to my kiddos decided to fly down with her fiancé to have a desert engagement session.
Each couple that I have had the chance to photograph always ends up holding a place in my heart and I always come away from a session with some favorite photos but this session means so much to me. First of all, Maria will always have a special place in my heart. She nannied our children when they were super young and when we lived out in Minneapolis, away from any family. We, especially me, would not have been a functioning family if were not for her. She saw me in some of the hardest months of mothering, some tough moments in my photography career, she has always been a phone call away to listen to all those tough moments that life throws you. And then one day I find out about this Noah person who makes one of my favorite people so happy.
Fast forward a bit and Maria has asked me if I would be her’s and Noah’s wedding photographer to which I am so honored and excited to play a part in their love story. Maria and Noah flew down to Scottsdale Arizona from Minneapolis to have their desert engagement session. This was also my first time meeting Noah and not only did I love him, just like I knew he would, I loved how he looked at her. And how she looked at him. Scroll down and you’ll see what I mean. So here you have it, my first desert engagement session in Arizona. So excited for more of these sessions!
