Annie and Trevor Van Riemdysk planned their wedding for 2020 at Belle Mer but when the pandemic hit they had to postpone until 2021. On their wedding weekend, New England was about to get hit by a huge tropical storm named Elsa. Their wedding day was supposed to be a complete wash with rain and strong winds the entire day which made them have to cancel their plans of a boat sail from the ceremony to reception but Annie and Trevor kept great spirits about it and didn’t care because they were finally getting married. And then about an hour before the first look was supposed to happen the sky started to clear up and we started to see the sun poke out. It was amazing because as soon as it was time for photos the weather was absolutely stunning- windy, yes- but stunning!
Their ceremony was held at a little chapel right behind Hotel Viking in Newport Rhode Island. The architecture of this chapel was just stunning! And then they enjoyed cocktail hour in the beautiful Belle Mer with a raw bar and bright light streaming through. Reception time was held in the main room with gorgeous greenery falling from the ceiling (created by Green Lion) behind their head table, greenery draping from the stairs, blue touches in the napkins and florals, and stunning flatware.
Huge shout out to Alexis and her team at The Little Things for creating this wedding day for Annie & Trevor twice!
