Love still happened during the Covid-19 pandemic but it did make weddings look a little different. Bailey & Nate had a Bailey Island Maine wedding during the pandemic and it was exactly how I envision every wedding to be. They had their closest friends and family surrounding them. There wasn’t pomp or circumstance but there was running through fields shoeless, there was beach walks and sandy feet. There were random speeches that evoked tears and big bear hugs. The details were delicate and small but meaningful. It was truly a wonderful day to be a part of.
B&N’s ceremony was held at the historic library on the island and then their reception was held just outside in a tent. The day was typical Maine weather- cloudy in the morning, a quick rain shower during family portraits, and then a sunny and humid night. And their wedding couldn’t have been more Maine if it tried- from the blackberry and blueberry bushes just outside the getting ready cottage that had elegant nautical features to the lobster boat littered marina that the library overlooked.
