A backyard brunch wedding. I’m not sure who thought of it but it was a fabulous idea. Jenna & Cory got ready for their big day at their house while vendors were scurrying around outside making sure everything looked in tip-top shape. Jenna & Cory had just purchased their property and home earlier this year and decided they wanted to have their wedding on their property- how meaningful! They worked with Emily Elizabeth Events to create a cozy yet elegant affair for their guests. They had their ceremony in their backyard and then followed the ceremony with brunch under the tent. The smell of baked french toast and sausage cooking was making everyone’s mouth water during the ceremony. Possibly the best meal I’ve ever had at a wedding…or maybe I’m just in love with brunch too much. I loved the color palette they chose, blue and maroon, because it felt so Fall like without being overwhelming. Greenery hanging from the tops of the tent, maroon taper candles, with blue calligraphy made the tablescapes just delightful and so much fun to photograph. Hot coco along with coffee and blankets kept guests warm as the day got chilly. And then guests got to go home with little caramel apple cider kits. Just the best! Another thing I loved was Jenna’s smile. Though reserved most of the time, Jenna would light up with this modelesque smile when close to Cory. I loved watching her slowly sipping on some warm coffee while people gave toasts about them. Such a fabulous, intimate backyard brunch to be a part of. Thanks for having me, Jenna & Cory!
