I was so excited to fly down to Louisville to tell this couple’s story on their wedding day. My husband has known Dan for years, growing up with him in church. I have a few memories of Dan over the past years. He came with us when my husband had his first beer at a Minneapolis restaurant in Uptown…and ended up dumping it in the flower box beside our table. Dan also dropped in to our house on his 17,000 mile around the country motorcycle trip. Dan’s ideal woman was…well…not a woman I had ever met. And Dan seemed to have a rather cynical view of marriage. He is a free spirit, one who has enjoyed backpacking Europe and driving the country with no cares in the world and nothing holding him down.
Then Brady happened.
Brady and Dan had not been dating very long when Dan proposed because they’re meant to be together. I was so excited to meet Brady because not only was she so sweet to talk to on the phone but also if this girl could make Dan swoon she had to be an angelic being.
Brady has the sweetest demeanor and the best laughing face. Most people don’t have the cutest face when they’re giving a full belly laugh. Mine, personally, makes my eyes get so squinty they disappear, my nose get super ugly scrunchy, and my mouth awkwardly open. Brady’s laugh is real and her face is the cutest. You just want her hug for forever!
Brady and Dan’s wedding was simple and sweet. They were truly in love on their wedding day and used each and every minute to hold each other or converse with their friends and family. That makes the perfect wedding day and it’s the perfect wedding to photograph!
Thanks Dan and Brady for allowing me to document your true, selfless love. Congrats and can’t wait to see where your life as Mr and Mrs takes you!
