I woke up the morning of Ben&Kristen’s wedding and whipped open my bedroom curtains. Thankfully my dream was wrong…it was not raining! Kristen&Ben had the perfect day for their wedding. It was hot at first but just before it was time for the ceremony to start the sky got cloudy and covered up the sun. For a photographer this was a huge blessing…shooting at 5pm when the sun was bright, hot, and high in the sky- that’s enough to make a photographer worry.
The ceremony started and Ben watched his bride walk towards him in her stunning white gown for the first time. Emotions may have been a little bit higher for Kristen&Ben’s wedding than any other wedding because of the recent passing of Ben’s father. But as their Pastor said, Ben will forever have Kristen with him now to go through those tough times and through the happy times.
As the ceremony ended and family formals were over, I took Kristen&Ben away just for a few moments to snap a few pictures of them and as soon as they were away from ever thing Ben let out a big sigh which made them both crack up. And that is my favorite part about Kristen&Ben as a couple…they know how to make each other laugh and smile even over the silliest of things. Good luck with the road ahead Kristen&Ben! Once David and I get good at mountain biking we’ll have to tag along with you guys!
