Portsmouth. You cutie little town you. David and I rediscovered Portsmouth New Hampshire about a year ago when we came to Maine to look at houses. This town is filled with charm and old unique buildings that feel so European. It’s the closest you can get to feeling like you’re across the pond while still on US soil. So when Jackie & Nate reached out about shooting their engagement session in their home town, Portsmouth, I was so excited! We walked around and shot at all different locations like Strawberry Banks (also where they will have their wedding in the Fall), downtown roads, Memorial Bridge, and a bunch of different areas for their Portsmouth Engagement Session. Portsmouth is a touristy area in the summer but it seemed so calm while we were there. Watching families skate around the rink in the middle of Strawberry Banks was so iconic. The sun occasionally peaked out and gave us some warm color but mostly we were working with that cool winter light which did look so dreamy against the old buildings.
Jackie & Nate brought along to their Portsmouth engagement session moscow mule mugs that were engraved with their names and wedding date that they will use at their wedding. It was there that I realized I need engraved mugs. I did find a mug recently that said, “Somewhere between Proverbs 31 and Nicki Minaj” and I’ve never heard something more true about myself.
So excited to get back to Portsmouth in the warmer months for some day trips and then for Jackie & Nate’s wedding with Nicole Mower Wedding & Events! Let’s go wedding season!
