Baby portrait photography can either go extremely well or crash and burn. I try my hardest to become the babies best friend (from afar- get too close and stranger danger kicks in) before I even start shooting them. I like to make sure mom or dad is holding them for at least a little bit before I bring out this big black thing that I stick plant in front of my face and makes a clicking noise. Once they’ve warmed up to me then we can slowly change positions, locations, and move mom and dad out of the picture for some portrait shots just of the baby.

But this little guy, he didn’t need any of that. He was happy and intrigued by my camera from the moment I walked in the door. He has the sweetest mom and dad who, you can just tell, love him to pieces. He was so excited to get to explore new areas of the house and see a little bit more of the world.

My baby fever always heightens when I’m around little nuggets as sweet as him! Thanks Jason & Leila for letting me document your family!
